I had the pleasure of interviewing ESPN’s very own Rece Davis, who is in town for the Memphis/East Carolina matchup tonight at the Liberty Bowl.   Listen for all your favorite sports here in Memphis on our sister station (the #1 Sports station in Memphis), ESPN 92.9 FM.

Rece gave some great insights on UT Football, Memphis basketball, Coach Josh Pastner, Coach Cal (boo), and the over NCAA Men’s basketball landscape.  Also, check out the interview for a great Bob Knight story.

When I lived in Ocean City, NJ. working as a radio Program Director we used to be the radio sponsor for the Ocean City Doo Dah Parade (ironically, it was always around halloween).  Anyway, Soupy Sales was always there as the Grand Marshall.  I was lucky enough to meet him!  What a legend.  Here’s pie in your eye. RIP.  More on his time as the icon of that parade here.

Over the weekend, I took the magic DJ booth to South Bend, Indiana, so I could witness the Notre Dame Fighting Irish versus the USC Trojans.  While it was difficult to watch ND lose (I’m not a huge ND fan, just wanted to see USC lose), it was definitely a check off the bucket list indeed.  My friend Harry Hawkins and his son Gabe were nice enough to invite my friend Mike and I!

It’s time to get moving.

Remember how much you once enjoyed roller skating? When you got exercise and did not even realize it?

You need to know about Tuesday nights at FunQuest Skate in Collierville…. It’s Family Night….6 to 9pm …$4 admission to skate plus, once inside, buy a pizza for $10 bucks and get a pitcher of soda free. Kids and parents can skate, but if you as a parent choose to just kick back and socialize with the other non skaters inside, so be it! Kids (and adults!) love to skate at Funquest!!

I’ll be there this Tuesday night (10/20) ready to skate, have fun and pass out KQK prizes! : )

Find out more on the Funquest Skate website. www.funquestskate.com

Funquest is on Hwy 72,  just south of Poplar, behind the Freds.
